LTO revokes Maria Isabel Lopez's driver's license, fines her P8K
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has officially announced its decision to revoke the driver’s license of former beauty queen Maria Isabel Lopez effective immediately.
Lopez will not be able to reapply for a license for 2 years. Aside from the revocation, the actress has been given a fine of P8,000 for reckless driving and for violating the anti-distracted driving act.
Last November 11, Lopez posted a Facebook of her moving the traffic cones along EDSA and entering the ASEAN lanes which were reserved for heads of states and other delegates attending the ASEAN Summit.
Lopez later apologized for the incident, citing that she should not be singled out as other drivers also entered the lane.
